RANGPUR, April 13, 2025 (BSS) - The authority of Begum Rokeya University,
Rangpur (BRUR) will resume the campus radio activities again after almost
five years from tomorrow on the occasion of 'Pahela Baishakh'.
 
On the occasion of 'Chaitra Sangkranti' today, Vice-chancellor Professor Dr
Md Showkat Ali formed a six-member Campus Radio Management Committee from
among the teachers and officials to manage the campus radio activities
smoothly.
 
Associate Professor of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences
Dr Md Sifat Rumana has been given the responsibility of the Director of
Campus Radio.
 
Assistant Professor of the Department of Gender and Development Studies
Twa'ha Hossaine, Lecturer of the Department of Political Science Md Jamilur
Rahman, Lecturer of the Department of Bengali Md Golam Rabbani, Network
Engineer Md Meraj Ali of the university's ICT Cell and Officer of the Vice-
Chancellor's Office Md Habibur Rahman will serve as the committee members.
 
"The Campus Radio will conduct audio-visual activities on behalf of the
university. Its activities will be available on social media platforms
Facebook and YouTube from the first day of the Bangla New Year 1432," the
Vice-chancellor told BSS tonight.
