Pahela Baishakh celebrated in Vietnam

DHAKA, April 19, 2025 (BSS) - Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bengali New Year 1432, was celebrated at the Bangladesh mission in Hanoi, Vietnam, amid festivity yesterday.
 
The embassy hosted a series of events marking the beginning of the new year.

The events brought together Bangladeshi expatriates in Vietnam, members of different cultural organizations and their family members with full of exuberance.

Several stalls showcasing traditional clothing, crafts and foods were set up at the embassy premises.

Ambassador Mohammad Lutfor Rahman exchanged new year greetings with the participants.

He said the Pahela Baishakh celebration is an integral part of the Bengali culture.

It fosters a broader unity among the people of Bangladesh, he said.

The ambassador stressed concerted efforts to build a prosperous Bangladesh.

The celebration culminated through a cultural event where the attendees enjoyed traditional foods.
