RANGPUR, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) – The people of Rangpur are ready to observe Martyr Intellectuals Day-2025 with due respect and solemnity paying rich tribute to the martyred intellectuals on Sunday.
 
Marking the day, the district administration and various sociocultural organizations have chalked out programmes to pay tribute to the martyred intellectuals by placing wreaths at the city's Liberation War Memorial at the Town Hall Slaughterhouse in the morning. 
 
According to official sources, the district administration has taken detailed programmes to observe Martyr Intellectuals Day- 2025 with due dignity and solemnity. 
 
At the beginning of the programmes, wreath-laying will be done at the Liberation War Memorial at 9:30 am. 
 
After the wreath-laying, a discussion will be held at the Rangpur District Shilpokola Academy Auditorium at 10 am to commemorate the sacrifice of the martyred intellectuals. 
 
On the day, special prayers will be offered in all places of worship including mosques, temples, churches and pagodas at convenient times to seek forgiveness for the martyred intellectuals. 
 
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Ahsan has called on everyone to be present on time to participate in the programmes taken by the Rangpur district administration on December 14 (Sunday) next.
