Met office forecasts dry weather

DHAKA, May 06, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country during the next 24 hours, beginning from 9:00am today.

It also forecast rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions and one or two places in Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and Kushtia, Jashore and Comilla regions.

Day temperature may fall slightly over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and it may rise slightly elsewhere over the country while night temperature may remain nearly unchanged, said a BMD bulletin this morning.

However, the highest temperature 36.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Baghabari in Rajshahi division on Monday. The lowest temperature 21.4 degrees Celsius has been recorded at Tetulia in Rangpur division today.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:30pm today and rise at 5:20am tomorrow.
