Swedish embassy warns against fake documents in visa applications

DHAKA, May 6, 2025 (BSS) - The Swedish Embassy in Dhaka has urged visa applicants to refrain from submitting forged or manipulated documents, warning that such attempts will lead to immediate rejection and may be reported to all Schengen member states.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the embassy advised applicants to ensure the authenticity of their submissions.

"Make sure you only submit original documents with your visa application.

Fraudulent, falsified, or manipulated documents will result in immediate refusal. Furthermore, the circumstance that you submit non-original documents will be known by all Schengen states," read the statement.
 
It reiterated that visa processing strictly adheres to the rules and standards set by the Schengen cooperation framework.

Schengen area countries are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
