Rotary club provides wheelchairs to Biman for hajj pilgrims

DHAKA, May 7, 2025 (BSS) - Rotary Club of Motijheel has donated 12 wheelchairs to Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd (BBAL) for use by Hajj pilgrims and other passengers.

“With donation of the wheelchairs to Biman, comfortable and secured services will be ensured for the hajj pilgrimages at Hajj Camp and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport,” Dr Md Shafiqur Rahman, managing director and chief executive officer of Biman Bangladesh Airlines said.

Speaking at a function at Balaka Bhaban, the headquarters of BBAL recently, he thanked the rotary club for extending their helping hands.

Rotarian past president Abdus Shakur on behalf of Rotary Club of Motijheel handed over the wheelchairs to the managing director of BBAL.

Among others, sale and distribution director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ashraful Alam, general manager of public relations department ABM Rowshan Kabir, Rotarian past presidents Sattya Ranjan Saha and Masih Malik Chowdhury were present.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is committed to offering support and convenience to passengers requiring mobility assistance such as wheelchair and other assistances for smooth movement.
