DHAKA, Aug 28, 2025 (BSS)-The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Aminul Islam Bulbul believes the school cricket will be a perfect platform to unearth the next generation of cricketers who can take the country's cricket further height.

Speaking to the media in Chattogram today, Aminul said, he believes that the country's future cricket stars are hidden in the school grounds.

"The future cricketers are in the school ground, something what I believe," he said.

"It is our responsibility to find out how we can bring out these talents. School cricket has been happening for a long time, but this time we will do school cricket with a new initiative where not only school cricket will be played, we will also create cricket fans across the country."

The BCB President believes that this initiative will not only develop the talent of the players, but also strengthen the culture and training system of cricket in every district of the country.

"We'll not organize the tournament for just the shake of organizing it, we will bring out super talents from here," Aminul added.

The BCB president called on other regional cricket organizations in the country to organize events like Chittagong.

"It was in the planning stage. Akram Khan and his team made the plan to bring it to the field... I think decentralization is not just about competition. Every district should be able to flourish its own cricket entity," he noted.

"Good cricketers from different upazilas should be given the platform so that they can come and play in the district. That district should not only create a cricket team, but also a whole cricket family, where all the support staff including physio-trainers will be there."
