DHAKA, May 28, 2025 (BSS) - The High Court division of the Supreme Court today issued its public notice seeking applications for appointing additional judges.

This is the first time such a notice has been issued in line with the newly enacted Supreme Court Judges Appointment Ordinance, 2025.

According to the notice, issued by SC's HC division registrar Habibur Rahman Siddiki, many candidates have submitted application following the notice of Supreme Judicial Appointments Council decision to appoint additional judges in the HC.

However, the council also decided to call application through Public Notice to give opportunities to more suitable candidates.

Applicants will have to fill the prescribed form and submit it by post or directly to the Registrar General's Office of the Supreme Court by June 22, attaching the necessary documents and a passport size photo, the notice said, adding, those who have already applied in the prescribed form need not apply again.
