Youth can build humane, inclusive cities: Adilur

DHAKA, May 28, 2025 (BSS) - Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan today put emphasis on role of youth in shaping a humane and sustainable urban future.

Speaking at the award distribution ceremony of the national competition 'Youth's Ideas in Sustainable Urban Planning-2025', the adviser highlighted how the creativity and vision of young engineers and urban planners can significantly contribute to inclusive and people-centered urban development.

The event was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Department of Architecture in the city and drew participants from across the country, showcasing innovative urban planning proposals that prioritize sustainability, equity and community well-being.

"The ideas and initiatives of our youth can be powerful tools in transforming urbanization into a humane, inclusive and sustainable process," Adilur said. 

"Through such competitions, we can tap into their potential to address the challenges of modern urban life," he added.
