Food allocation would be increased for flood affected areas: Food Adviser

CUMILLA, June 12, 2025 (BSS) - Food Adviser Ali Imam Majumder today said that the allocation of food would be increased for the flood affected areas of the region to meet the food deficit.

The adviser made the comment while talking to the journalists here after a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and officials of the food department.

He said the water logging at the food godown at Dharmapur in Cumilla city and a record room at Kaliajuri area would be removed soon. 

The government has been trying to protect the buildings of the food department and the record room, he said, adding that necessary instructions have already been given to the concerned departments in this regard. 

DC Cumilla Amirul Kaiser and other concerned officials were also present at the meeting.
