DMP files 1,037 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Nov 9, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,037 cases across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The DMP Traffic Division filed those cases on November 8 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued today. 

It said the DMP traffic police dumped 277 motor vehicles and towed 96 vehicles during the campaign.
The DMP’s release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
 
It further said that Motijheel traffic division filed 224 cases, Wari division registered 88 cases, Tejgaon division filed 146 cases, Mirpur division filed 115 cases, Gulshan division filed 91 cases, Uttara division registered 165 cases, Ramna division filed 87 cases and Lalbagh division registered 121 cases against motor vehicles as well as three wheelers and motorcycles.
