KHAGRACHHARI, July 20, 2025 (BSS) - A schoolboy died from snakebite at Jamburapara of Kabakhali union in Dighinala upazila of the district this afternoon.

The deceased was Rexon Chakma, 10, a 5th grade student of Hazachhara Jora Bridge Government Primary School.

A snake bit Rexon while he was sleeping around 2 am. Later, the family members took him to a local Ojha. At one point, when his physical condition deteriorated, he was admitted to Khagrachhari Modern District Sadar Hospital. 

He died at the hospital while undergoing treatment there, Khagrachhari Civil Surgeon Mohammad Chaber said.
