Remittance inflow rises by 46.2pc in 12-day of August

DHAKA, Aug 13, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a remarkable 
year-on-year growth of 46.2 percent (pc), reaching US$1,054 million in the 
first 12 days of August, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) 
issued here today.

During the same period last year, the country's remittance inflow was US$721 
million.

During the July 2025-12 August, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates 
sent remittances of $3,532 million, which was only $2,635 million during the 
same period of the previous fiscal year.
