DHAKA, Aug 14, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today imposed a ban on flying of any kind of lanterns in the Dhaka Metropolitan areas for thirteen hours, effective from 11 pm today to 12 am tomorrow.

DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali passed the order in exercise of powers conferred under Section 28 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/76).

The DMP has requested the city residents to comply with the instructions.
