DHAKA, Aug 14, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam today nullified Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter's concerns about the non disclosure agreement (NDA) over the US tariff saying she "misspoke over the matter".

"Non-disclosure of draft bilateral agreement is an established diplomatic practice," he said as his attention was drawn to her recent comments on the issue.

The press secretary said the interim government was fully committed to ensuring transparency in its work and "intends to request the US authorities to lift the non-disclosure clause when the tariff agreements are fully completed".

"She misspoke on this matter," Alam added.
