DHAKA, Aug 24, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.

“Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Saturday recorded 34.6 degree Celsius in Srimangal under Sylhet division, while today’s minimum temperature was 23.7 degree Celsius in Bandarban.

The sun sets at 6:24 pm today and rises at 5:38 am tomorrow in the capital.
