DHAKA, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) today published a supplementary voter list ahead of the final one saying 12,63,07,504 people were listed as voters until August 31, 2025.

EC’s senior secretary Akhtar Ahmed said out of the voters named in the list 6,41,00455 are male and 6,22,05,819 are female voters.

According to Hossain, the supplementary list deleted the deceased or otherwise ineligible voters and incorporated 1,37,642 new voters -- 94,192 males 43,444 females and six were transgender.

After the field level scrutiny the EC dropped 1,038 voters -- 653 males and 385 are females – from the list, he said.

According to the supplementary list, the number of transgender voters now stood at 1,230.

The top EC bureaucrat said that the commission would issue the final list exhausting three phases while the supplementary list came in the second phase.
