DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Sports Federations Secretaries Forum (BSFSF) formed a one-year ad-hoc committee aimed at creating new leadership opportunities and promoting coordinated development in Bangladesh's sports sector.

The committee was formed at a meeting held at a hotel in the city's Gulshan yesterday.

MA Quddus Khan, general secretary of the Bangladesh Boxing Federation, was elected as the committee president, while Dildar Hasan Dilu, founding general secretary of the Bangladesh Wushu Federation, was elected as the general secretary.

Lt. Col. (retd.) Riazul Hasan, general secretary of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation and Md. Mahbubur Rahman Shaheen, general secretary of the Bangladesh Swimming Federation, were appointed vice-presidents. 

Besides, Russell Kabir Sumon of the Bangladesh Badminton Federation will serve as joint secretary, and Tanvir Ahmed of the Bangladesh Archery Federation was named treasurer.

The committee will hand over its responsibilities to an elected leadership through formal elections within the next year. In the meantime, it will also manage fundraising and other organizational activities.

The BSFSF aims to foster a unified and collaborative environment for all sports federations under its umbrella, coordinate preparations for international competitions, maintain professional conduct among officials and players and ensure a fair and transparent playing environment.
