Annual Commanders' Confce of Signals Corps held in Jashore Cant

DHAKA, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - The Annual Commanders' Conference 2025 of the Signals Corps of Bangladesh Army was held at the Signal Training Centre and School (STC&S) in Jashore Cantonment today.
 
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the conference as the chief guest, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release.

Upon his arrival at STC&S, the Chief of Army Staff was received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC); GOC, 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander of Jashore Area and 
the Commandant of STC&S.

During the conference, the Army Chief delivered a speech to the commanders and officers of the Corps of Signals and exchanged views on various issues including the corps' technological development, research, enhancement of 
professional excellence, and future plans.
 
He also recalled the members of the Corps of Signals and all valiant freedom fighters who made supreme sacrifices during the Liberation War.

Highlighting the glorious heritage of the Corps of Signals in nation-building, the Chief of Army Staff praised its various development-oriented activities in the service of the motherland.
 
He expressed confidence that the corps would continue to play a commendable role in national development through its commitment to honesty, integrity and duty.

Senior military officials from Army Headquarters, Commanders of all Signal Brigades, Commanding Officers of Signal units and members of the media attended the event.

On November 9, Major General Md Nasim Parvez formally assumed the charge of the 11th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals at STC&S.
 
The installation ceremony took place at the Shaheed Abdul Hamid Parade Ground in Jashore Cantonment with due military tradition and decorum.
 
The senior-most officer and the senior-most Master Warrant Officer adorned the newly-appointed Colonel Commandant with the "Colonel Commandant Rank Badge".

On this occasion, a smartly turned-out contingent presented a Guard of Honour to the new Colonel Commandant.
