NU announces scholarships for 800 meritorious students

DHAKA, Nov 28, 2025 (BSS) - SpaandanB, a welfare organisation for expatriate Bangladeshis, has announced an educational scholarship opportunity for approximately 800 meritorious students studying at the undergraduate level in colleges and educational institutions affiliated with the National University (NU). 

The scholarship programme is being financed by the Imdad Sitara Jan Foundation.

The announcement was detailed in a notice signed by Md. Shahab Uddin Ahammad, acting director of the College Monitoring and Evaluation Office, published on Thursday.

The scholarship is targeted at talented and financially disadvantaged students.

To be eligible, applicants must have passed the HSC examination in 2024 and must currently be enrolled in the first year of their degree programme (2024-25 academic year).

The eligible programmes of study include BSc Honours, BSc Honours (all faculties of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry), MBBS, BDS, BSc Textile Engineering, BSc Engineering, BA Honours, BSS Honours and BBA.

Interested candidates must submit their applications by December 7. Applications must be sent directly, via post, or by courier.
