DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - Quran recitation and a special doa mahfil was held today at the BNP's central office in the city, seeking forgiveness and eternal peace of party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Hundreds of leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated bodies joined the doa mahfil.

Besides, special prayers were offered at mosques and other places of worships across the country, said BNP sources.

The three-time former Prime Minister passed away at around 6:00am today while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the city. She was 80.
