63 more hospitalised in last 24 hours

DHAKA, Jan 2, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 63 more people were hospitalised with dengue across the country in the last 24 hours, with no deaths reported during the period.

The information was disclosed in a dengue-related press release issued today (Friday) by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

According to the release, among the newly hospitalised patients, six in Barishal, 18 in Chattogram, 16 in Dhaka, three in Mymensingh, and six in Rajshahi divisions (all outside city corporations), while eight were admitted in Dhaka North City Corporation and six in Dhaka South City Corporation.

During the same period, 71 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. 

With this, a total of 268 patients have been discharged so far this year.

So far this year, 139 people have been infected with dengue.
