THAKURGAON, Jan 23, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today sought public support to vote in favor of the 'sheaf of paddy' symbol, aiming to build Thakurgaon and Bangladesh into a beautiful and prosperous country.
"We can give you all out protection and BNP will take this responsibility," he said.
The BNP secretary general made the remarks while addressing an election campaign rally at Munshirhat of Devipur union under Thakurgaon Sadar upazila this evening.
He said that if the people elect him in the polls, he would not disappoint them. "If Allah gives me opportunity, I have lot of things to do," he added.
Calling on voters to support BNP, Mirza Fakhrul said the right to vote is the people's deposit and strength, which should never be wasted. He urged voters to elect the party that had stood by the people in the past.
