DHAKA, Jan 28, 2026 (BSS) - Weather may remain mostly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, with chances of light rain at one or two places over Rangpur division, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

According to the BMD forecast issued this morning, light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning hours.

Night temperature may rise slightly while day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 31.8 degrees Celsius at Teknaf, while the minimum temperature today was 10.5 degrees Celsius, recorded at Tetulia, Sreemangal and Chuadanga.

The wind direction in Dhaka is north to northwesterly with a speed of 5-10 kilometers per hour. Relative humidity at Dhaka at 6:00 am today was recorded at 89 percent.

Today's sunset at Dhaka will be at 5:41 pm, while tomorrow's sunrise is expected at 6:41 am.
