Minister asks for hassle-free hajj arrangement

DHAKA, Feb 22, 2026 (BSS)- Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam has asked the officials to ensure hassle-free hajj arrangement.

Hajj pilgrims should not face any harassment, she said adding that smooth hajj arrangement is a moral responsibility of the state.

The minister said this in review meeting on the progress of Hajj management at the conference room of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism here today.

State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat said the authorities would ensure that the right persons are assigned to the right responsibilities to facilitate efficient hajj management.

The minister and the state minister expressed their intention to visit the Hajj camp to observe the overall situation firsthand and assess preparations on the ground.

The meeting also discussed in details the possibility of increasing the frequency of Hajj flights to accommodate pilgrims and ensure smoother travel arrangements.

Among others, Secretary of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Nasrin Jahan, Secretary of the Religious Affairs Ministry Md. Kamal Uddin and other senior officials were present.
