1,81,854 candidates to sit for SSC exams under Dinajpur board

GAIBANDHA, April 20, 2026 (BSS) - 1,81,854 students will appear at the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dinajpur this year. 

Deputy controller of exams of the board Jahurul Islam Pramanik said the candidates would sit for the exams at 283 centers of eight districts under the board, beginning on April 21.
 
Of them, the number of regular candidate is 1,37,286 while the number of irregular candidate is 44,378, he said.
 
Since the examinations will begin tomorrow, the board officials and the center secretaries have held a meeting for smooth conduct of the tests.

However, some 18,662 candidates will take part in the examinations in 53 centers under Rangpur district, 15,323 in 42 centers under Gaibandha district, 9706 in 27 centers under Nilphamari district, 9674 in 35 centers under Kurigram district, 3702 in 21 centers under Lalmonirhat district, 24555 in 60 centers under Dinajpur district, 12,736 in 23 centers under Thakurgaon district and 5, 313 in 22 centers under Panchagarh district.

All preparations have been made to conduct the examinations peacefully, Controller of Exams of the board Professor Borhan Uddin told BSS.
