DHAKA, April 21, 2026 (BSS) - The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a luggage wrapping service at the Hajj camp for the first time to make the pilgrimage easier, smoother and more secure.
"The service will allow pilgrims to have their luggage professionally wrapped, protecting it from damage during travel," said Md Lokman Hossain, Director of the Hajj Office.
Lokman added that it will also safeguard against unauthorized opening and other unexpected risks, while reducing last-minute hassles and simplifying the travel process.
Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad said ensuring a smooth Hajj journey through maximum services is one of the government's priorities. He said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is closely monitoring services for Hajj pilgrims, and the initiative has been taken following his directives.
