25 more dengue patients hospitalized, no deaths in 24 hrs

DHAKA, April 27, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 25 more dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, while no deaths were reported during the period.

“Seven patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, five in Chattogram division, three in Dhaka division (outside city corporations), one in Dhaka North City Corporation, three in Dhaka South City Corporation, five in Khulna division, and one in Mymensingh division,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).   

During the same period, 16 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. As of now, a total of 2,303 patients have recovered and been released from hospitals this year.

The total number of dengue cases recorded this year has reached 2,428, of which 62.8 percent are male and 37.2 percent female. A total of four deaths from dengue have been reported so far this year.

In 2025, from January 1 to December 31, a total of 102,861 dengue cases were recorded, with 413 deaths.

In 2024, the total number of dengue cases stood at 101,214, while 575 people died from the mosquito-borne disease.
