Prime Minister leaves Jashore for Dhaka

JASHORE, April 27, 2026 (BSS)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left Jashore for 
Dhaka this evening after completing his daylong official programme in the 
district.

"The premier arrived at Jashore Airport after attending a function at Jashore 
Club. The flight for Dhaka was scheduled to depart at 8:00 pm," said PM's 
Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit, 
among others, saw the prime minister off at the airport.

Earlier in the day, the prime minister reached Jashore at around 10:20 am 
from Dhaka. During his visit, he inaugurated the re-excavation work of Ulshi 
Canal and the construction of a 500-bed Jashore Medical College Hospital. He 
also addressed a gathering there.

The premier also visited Jashore Institute Public Library and exchanged views 
at Jashore Club as part of his programme.

Later, Tarique Rahman, also chairman of BNP, addressed a public rally 
organized by the district BNP at Jashore Central Eidgah Maidan.
