Two fuel retailers fined Tk 1 lakh for overcharging in Tangail

TANGAIL, April 27, 2026 (BSS) - National Consumer Rights Protection has fined two organizations for overpricing the fuel here.

Assistant director of district National Consumer Rights Protection Asaduzzaman Rumel led the drive with support from law enforcing agencies.

The two organizations, MS Ujjal Enterprise and Jahid Enterprise in Vuapur Upazila, were fined 50,000 taka each for selling Disel above 150 takas instead of fixed 115 taka, Rumel confirmed.
