Two accused held in Terokhada murder case in Khulna

KHULNA, April 27, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) today arrested two accused in a murder case in Terokhada upazila here.

On information, the elite force held Sohel Molla, 32, and Saiful Molla, residents of Madhupur area under Terokhada upazila.

Both are accused in the murder case of Nurul Islam Sheikh, also known as Nure Alam Sheikh, said a RAB-6 press release.

According to the case statement, a clash broke out between two rival groups of BNP on April 25 morning over harvesting Boro paddy and previous enmity, leaving at least five people injured.

The injured were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospita (KMCH), where Nurul Islam Sheikh succumbed to injuries.

Following the incident, the victim's son Mostofa Sheikh filed a murder case with Terokhada Police Station.

The arrested accused were later handed over to Terokhada police for further legal action, added the RAB press release.
