Saudi Hajj minister praises Bangladesh's efficiency in Hajj management

DHAKA, June 10, 2026 (BSS) - Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah today highly praised Bangladesh's efficient management of Hajj operations this year during a bilateral meeting with Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaykobad) in Riyadh.

The meeting was held at the Pilgrims Experience Program Center in the Saudi capital, according to an official release received here.

During the meeting, the Saudi minister lauded the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bangladesh for its successful management of Hajj-2026 and congratulated the religious affairs minister for providing services to pilgrims through sincere leadership.

He also conveyed his gratitude to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman through the religious affairs minister and sought Bangladesh's continued cooperation in further improving overall Hajj management in the coming years.

Dr. Al-Rabiah highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Saudi government to enhance arrangements for Hajj-2027 and expressed hope for continued collaboration with Bangladesh in ensuring better services for pilgrims.

The religious affairs minister thanked the Saudi government for unprecedented improvements in overall Hajj management.

He expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi Hajj and Umrah minister for ensuring a conducive environment for pilgrims through enhanced security measures, traffic management, crowd control, extensive use of information technology and improved services in the holy sites.

Kaykobad assured that Bangladesh would continue to stand beside the Saudi government in its efforts to further improve Hajj management and services for the guests of Almighty Allah.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Delwar Hossain, Hajj Counsellor Md Kamrul Islam and senior officials of the two ministries were present at the meeting.
