KHULNA, June 20, 2026 (BSS) - A workshop titled "Collaborative Research in Social Science: Theories, Opportunities and Practical Methodologies" was held at Khulna University (KU) today.
The inaugural session of the workshop was held at the URP Lecture Theatre of the university with Dean of the Social Science School Prof. Sheikh Sharafat Hossain in the chair.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan addressed the function as the chief guest and Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi as special guest.
Prof Harunur Rashid Khan said the scope of research is vast and quality research requires long-term commitment and sincere efforts.
He described collaborative research as a process that integrates different academic disciplines to generate comprehensive knowledge.
He said alongside discipline-based studies, the importance of multidisciplinary and collaborative research is increasing worldwide.
Research outcomes, he added, should contribute to human welfare and play an effective role in social development.
Teachers from different disciplines under the Social Science School participated in the daylong workshop.
