
RAJSHAHI, Sept 8, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi University (RU) has proposed holding its admission test for
the 2026-27 academic year in eight divisional cities, with Barisal being considered as a new
centre.
The university's admission sub-committee made the proposal at its second meeting held at the Vice-
Chancellor's office today.
The university's Public Relations Office administrator, Prof Dr S M Kamruzzaman, confirmed the
matter.
He said the first meeting had proposed holding the admission tests in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur,
Khulna, Chittagong, Mymensingh and Sylhet. Following demands from students of Barisal division, the
sub-committee has now proposed adding Barisal as another centre.
According to the proposal, the 'B' unit (Commerce) test is scheduled for January 8, the 'C' unit
(Science) test for January 9 and the 'A' unit (Humanities) test for January 16.
The university has also proposed accepting online applications from November 12 to 27. However, the
dates for the admission tests and applications are yet to be finalised and will be confirmed after
approval by the competent authorities.
