LALMONIRHAT, April 26, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today said the government will continue its comprehensive programmes to ensure girls' education across the country.

"The government has been implementing multifaceted initiatives to promote female education and these efforts will continue in the future," he said while speaking as chief guest at a relief distribution programme in the district.

He said girls' education has been made free to encourage enrolment while support including uniforms and shoes is being provided.

The government is also working to ensure that no student drops out of school, he added.

The minister further said bicycles are being distributed among female students to facilitate safe and convenient travel to schools and to help them avoid harassment and eve-teasing.

At the programme, corrugated iron sheets, cash assistance, wheelchairs and bicycles were distributed among beneficiaries.
