Charmonai Pir urges all to stand by cold-stricken people

DHAKA Jan 6, 2025 (BSS) - Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Amir and Pir of Charmoni Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim today urged the affluent people of society, including his party leaders and activists to stand by the cold-stricken people.

“The low-income, poor and needy people are suffering a lot due to the lack of necessary warm clothes . . . It is very urgent for political leaders, workers, supporters and the wealthy people of the country to come forward to help the vulnerable cold-stricken people,” he said.

The Charmoni pir said this while distributing warm clothes among the destitute suffering from the cold at the IAB party headquarters in Purana Paltan here today.

The IAB Amir said, “Despite this shivering winter in the capital and other cities, many people are spending the night under the open sky at stations and on the streets as well. In this situation, it is the moral and humane responsibility of the rich to stand by the helpless people in the cold.”

Putting emphasis on establishing an Islamic rule in Bangladesh, Mufti Rezaul said then people would not have had to spend their days in such hardship under the open sky in severe cold, rain, storms and storms.

The Charmonai Pir requested all capable people to come forward to help these cold-stricken people with the necessary winter clothes within their abilities.

IAB Senior Joint Secretary General Maulana Gazi Ataur Rahman, Joint Secretary General Engineer Ashraful Alam, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Alhaj Muhammad Monir Hossain, Assistant Publicity, Dawah Affairs Secretary Shahidul Islam Kabir and Central Committee Member Mufti Mustafa Kamal, among others, were present on the occasion.
