BAGERHAT, Dec. 5, 2025 (BSS) - A prayer and discussion meeting was held in 
Bagerhat today seeking the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The 
event took place at Swadhinata Udyan under the chairmanship of Bagerhat 
District BNP Convener Engineer AT M Akram Hossain Talim.

The meeting was chaired by Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Agriculture Secretary of 
the BNP Central Committee. Former MP Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Advocate Sheikh 
Wahiduzzaman Dwipu, former district BNP president MA Salam, joint convener Dr 
Sheikh Faridul Islam, and other senior leaders, along with thousands of party 
activists and members of associate organizations, attended.

Speakers expressed their wishes for Khaleda Zia's speedy recovery, 
highlighting her lifelong dedication to democracy, justice, and the rights of 
the people. Ulama leader Maulana Ibrahim Hossain led prayers for her full 
recovery.

Similar prayers and gatherings were also held across the district, including 
in all local mosques following Friday prayers.
