DHAKA, Jan 07, 2025 (BSS) - Police today arrested two persons and recovered firearms from them in front of Joy Kali Mandir in Wari Thana of the capital.

The arrestees were Marzan Ahmed Roni alias Bhagne Rani, 38, and Md Mahin Khan, 25, said a press release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) here.

On a tip-off, a team of Wari Thana police raided the area and arrested the duo. They also recovered a foreign-made pistol, a magazine and four-round bullet.

They couldn’t show any legal documents against the firearms.

Further legal action against the arrested persons is under process.
