ACC files case against ex-DC of police Shahjahan

DHAKA, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed a case against former deputy commissioner (DC) of police of Uttara Division Md Shahjahan on charges of amassing illegal wealth of over Taka 1.40 crore beyond known sources of income.

ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akther Hossain confirmed it saying the case was filed with ACC under section 27 (1) of the Anti Corruption Commission Act, 2004 and section 5 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947.

Shahjahan, also a former police super of Faridpur district, is currently attached with DIG office of Chattogram range.
