DHAKA, Jan 9, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed travel ban on Regency Hotel and Resort Chairman Musleh Uddin Ahmed and his wife Jebunnesa.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, as Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director (DD) Meftahul Zannat made a plea to the court.

According to the plea, ACC has formed a team to investigate the allegation of accumulating illegal assets against Musleh Uddin and his wife Jebunnesa.

ACC DD Meftahul Zannat made the team leader while Deputy Assistant Director Md Abdullah Al Mamun as member of the team.

According to the documents, Musleh Uddin with his family members is trying to leave the country secretly.

If he leaves the country, it will pose difficulties in getting important documents related to the allegation as well as hinder the overall investigation, and that is why necessary measures through special branch of police should be taken upon the consent of the court.
