Govt. appoints 2 DCs, transfers 1

DHAKA, Jan 09, 2025 (BSS) – The government today appointed two Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and transferred another with same job in another district, a Public Administration Ministry statement said.
   
The gazette notification said finance division’s deputy secretary ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandker and commerce ministry’s deputy secretary Sultana Akter were appointed as the deputy commissioners and district magistrates of Khagrachhari and Rajbari.
   
Rajbari’s incumbent deputy commissioner and district Zahidul Islam Miah was transferred to Narayanganj in the same position.
   
Miah was appointed as Rajbari’s deputy commissioner or administrative chief on December 30, 2024.
