BGB recovers 2.50 lakh Yaba tablets in Teknaf

DHAKA, Jan 12, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today in a drive 
recovered 2.50 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets from Double Jora area in Teknaf 
upazila of Cox's Bazar district.

Based on secret information, a patrol team of the BGB conducted a drive in 
the area and recovered two bags in a raft from the adjacent Naf river early 
today, said Lieutenant Colonel Ashiqur Rahman, commanding officer of the BGB-
2 Battalion. 

The bags contained 2.50 lakh of Yaba tablets, he said.

However, none of the smugglers or their accomplices could be arrested but the 
BGB's detectives' effort is still going on to trace them, the BGB official 
added.
