Metropolitan Police, London, delegation holds meeting with CTTC Chief

DHAKA, Jan 12, 2025 (BSS) - As part of the ongoing cooperation and partnership in enhancing counter-terrorism capacity, a delegation from the Counter Terrorism Unit of the Metropolitan Police, London paid a courtesy call on Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) of the DMP Chief Md. Masud Karim.

The meeting was held today at the CTTC office of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) here.

Simon Jones, Detective Chief Inspector, Counter Terrorism Unit, Metropolitan Police, London, UK led the delegation, said a police press release.

The delegation visited the Bomb Disposal Unit and SWAT Team of the CTTC.

During the meeting, Simon Jones expressed interest in continuing to provide specialized training to CTTC officers to enhance their performance and combat terrorism and international crimes.

Importance was given on continuing mutual cooperation in preventing terrorism, cybercrime, transnational crime and money laundering in the meeting.
