DMP arrests two drug dealers in city's Jatrabari

DHAKA, Jan 14, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two drug dealers along with 90 kilograms of marijuana from the city's Jatrabari area this morning. 

The arrested are Md Ali, 48 and Md Ibrahim, 19.

A team of DB's Lalbagh Zone conducted a drive in the Jorakhamba area under Jatrabari police station around 11am and arrested them along with 90 kgs of marijuana, said a DMP press release.

The DB personnel also seized a covered van, used for buying and selling of the drugs, during the drive. 

The estimated worth of the seized marijuana is Taka 18 lakh, the release added.

A case has been filed against the duo with Jatrabari Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
