Patuakhali Thermal Power Plant starts trial production

PATUAKHALI, Jan 19, 2025 (BSS) - Patuakhali 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant has
started its trial production.

The entire 660 MW of electricity of the first unit will be
supplied to the national grid in phases, said Engineer Ashraf Uddin,
supervisor of Patuakhali 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant, today.

Work is going on in full swing to start production activities of the second
unit (660 MW) in the next March, he added.

The authorities started production activities of the first unit (660 MW)
around 12 midnight on Saturday.

Currently, 110 MW of electricity generated by this plant is being supplied to
the national grid.

Meanwhile, the officials and employees of the power plant are expressing
happiness at being able to supply electricity after overcoming various
obstacles.
