DHAKA, Jan 19, 2025 (BSS) – The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today gave financial assistance to 18 students and people injured in the July Revolution at the Border Conference Center of the BGB Headquarters in Pilkhana, here.

Additional Director General (Administration) of the BGB Brigadier General Khondkar Shafiquzzaman was present as the chief guest at the event and provided financial assistance to the injured persons.

Remembering with deep respect the July Revolution warriors, he said that the Bengali nation has found a new Bangladesh through the anti-discrimination movement.

“BGB is also working in unison to build that desired Bangladesh,” he said.

Since the beginning of the July Revolution, BGB has provided treatment to about 50 students and people injured in the movement at the Border Guard Hospital on its own initiative.

Promising to stand by the injured students as a fellow soldier, BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui took necessary initiatives to provide assistances to rehabilitate 100 students injured in the anti-discrimination movement across the country, said a BGB press release.

On December 8 last, the home adviser had formally started the rehabilitation programme as the chief guest by providing financial and other assistance to seven injured students.
