Chief Justice visits Ctg courts

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 19, 2025 (BSS)- Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has visited Chattogram Court Building to see for himself the judicial functions of several courts under the jurisdictions of district and metropolitan session judge courts.

During his visit in the morning today, the Chief Justice talked to the judges, officials and lawyers and stayed for some time in front of a foundation stone laid by his late father and eminent lawyer Barrister Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed.
 
Talking with the journalists, Syed Refaat Ahmed said his visit was a part of the initiative taken to reform the country’s judiciary and to have a firsthand experience about the activities of the district courts.
 
Later he planted a sapling at the courtyard of Chief Judicial Magistrate court.

District Judge Saiful Islam and Metropolitan Session Judge Nazrul Islam and President of the District Bar Association Advocate Nazim Uddin Chowdhury and Secretary Advocate Ashraf Hossen Razzak, Public Prosecutor Advocate Mofizul Haque Bhuiyan, senior judges, court officials were present at that time.
