Islamic policy can solve labour problems: Shahjahan Chowdhury

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 14, 2025 (BSS)-  Former Lawmaker and Chattogram City Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Shahjahan Chowdhury has said there is no alternative to Islamic policy to resolve the problems of the labour class people in a sustainable manner. 
 
He said these while addressing a conference of Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Federation (BSKF), a labor outfit of Jamaat-e-Islami at BIA auditorium in the city’s Dewan bazar here today.
 
Shahjahan Chowdhury said, the majority of our country's population is labourers and hardworking people. The country cannot be moved forward by neglecting this section of people, he added. 
 
“Country’s strong economic backbone depends on survival of the working class people. So people should be motivated for Islamic labour policy to establish their rights,” Shahhjahan said.
 
Central General Secretary of BSKF Advocate Atiqur Rahman said, the countrymen have started getting the benefits of July uprising while congenial atmosphere has been created in every working place to do their jobs freely and fearlessly.
     
“This favorable environment should be capitalized to build a workers-friendly Bangladesh,” he added.
 
Presided over by BSKF’s city unit president S M Lutfar Rahman, the function addressed among others by advisor of the federation Foysal Mohammad Yunus, former city councilor Principal Shamsuzzaman Helal and general secretary Abu Taleb Chowdhury.
