DHAKA, Feb 15, 2025 (BSS) - Police have detained 13 people in special raids in connection with different criminal activities in Kamrangirchar area.

The arrestees were Md Shafiqul Islam (20), Md Tanvir Hossain (22), Md Naim Molla (20), Md Nahid Hossain (20), Md Ripon Islam (20), Md Shakib (25), Md Sayem (18), Nur Mohammad (24), Md Kawsar (20), Md Ramzan (25), Md Sujan Kha (30), Shahin Munshi (40) and Md Shahed Khan (35).

The three-hour operation was conducted from last 8:35 pm to 11:45 pm today, said a media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

It said the 13 people were arrested after conducting the special raids in various crime-prone areas under Kamrangirchar Police Station.

Police said that the arrested include identified drug peddlers, professional robbers, extortionists, terrorists, thieves, wanted accused and criminals involved in various crimes.

The arrested have been sent to the court.
