DHAKA, April 20, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today ordered to freeze 45 bank accounts and attach four flats of former state minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The court also ordered to seize three land cruiser SUVs of the former state minister.

The anti-graft body in its plea said it has received information of amassing huge illegal wealth by Nasrul Hamid and he may try to sell, hand over or transfer the movable and immovable properties to hamper the ongoing investigation against him.

"So for the sake of proper investigation, those properties should be frozen or attached," it added.
